When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” -Viktor Frankl

It is a passion for me to help clients build the skills needed to navigate through the challenging events that occur on this journey called life. This work is a true enjoyment, comes naturally, and fulfills my desire to make a genuine difference in this world.

My goal is to provide a safe and healing environment  and the  opportunity for clients  to  achieve greater independence and integration. Based on a combination of person-

centered, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused therapy, my approach  to  counseling works to improve coping, problem-solving, and goal-focused skills. Through collaboration with clients, techniques are utilized and adjusted to best serve the individual’s unique needs.

After graduating from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Master’s in Counseling, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. In addition to private practice, I counsel dual-diagnoses patients recovering from substance abuse and mental illness and have worked with patients in residential and intensive outpatient hospitals, the incarcerated, victims of domestic violence, and at-risk youth and families.
