“And I said to my body. Softly. ‘I want to be your friend.’ It took a long breath. And replied, ‘I have been waiting my whole life for this.” — Nayyirah Waheed

Hello, fellow life traveler! All parts are welcome here – uncertainty, joy, pain, shame, fear, anger, love, doubt. I am grateful to act as a guide and active witness as you discover your innate strengths and explore the nature and function of the many parts of you. It is my belief that we can form a better relationship with ourselves when we embrace all parts of who we are with curiosity and compassion. Ultimately, this shift reaches our outward lives and relationships, making them more aligned with our true selves and values.

Our burdens and fears can keep us hidden behind masks and make the vulnerability in therapy the last thing we want to encounter. Being known and seen, however, especially by your own self, is where healing and growth flourish. We are all on this journey together, and I look forward to getting a chance to share in yours!

I hold a B.A. in Family and Child Sciences and a M.S.S.W. in Social Work. In my post-graduate learning, I have attended trainings in mindfulness-based therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Trauma Informed Care, including the relationship between trauma and the brain. I have led therapy groups focused on the care of LGBTQ, teen, and pre-teen populations. Clinically, I have over 5 years of experience serving clients, spanning from children to adults, who are struggling with family relationships, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and more. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and committed to practicing cultural humility in my work and life.

I am originally from central Florida, and before moving to Texas, lived in California, Tennessee, as well as a small, Mayan village in the Western highlands of Guatemala. Outside of the therapy office, I love to hike, read, bake, listen to my favorite music, and watch my favorite TV shows.
